In Vienna, three public mobility stations were implemented as part of the project “Wien Mobil”. After observing the existing mobility stations and talking to different experts, the system was diagnosed as underutilized. Consequently, this paper aims to point out the reasons why the public mobility stations in Vienna have so far not attracted as many users as expected.

Methodology/Approach: The research question is answered with the support of explorative expert interviews, observational research and literature review.

Findings: The identified contributing factors for the underutilization of the mobility stations in Vienna are location, weather, lack of interoperability, low affordability, lack of reliability, and lack of publicity and educational campaigns.

Research Limitation/implication: The research lacks the perspective and data from the car sharing provider. Moreover, it was conducted during winter, which certainly increased the perception of an underutilized system.

Originality/Value of paper: This work is expected to contribute to urban mobility planning by identifying and reaffirming important factors to take into account when planning, implementing and operating mobility stations and by providing a thorough understanding of the reasons for the underutilization of mobility stations.
Luiza Maciel Costa da Silva, Julius Uhlmann (Author) Copyright (c) 2021 Revista Produção e Desenvolvimento Mon, 01 Feb 2021 02:52:58 +0000 Residents' attitudes towards tree care programs in cityscapes
Purpose: Examine residents’ attitude towards urban trees from the perspective of funding or voluntarily contributing time for tree care programs. Majority of global populace live in cities, hence, the rise in public expectations for liveable, sustainable and greener communities and urban areas all over the world, Nigeria inclusive. With proper planning and management, cities may become more liveable, but the rapid loss of large urban green areas cause havoc, and has ushered in several problems such as adverse climatic condition, reduced water and air quality, amongst others.

Metodology: A questionnaire survey was conducted to understand how residents rank and rate the benefits of urban trees as well as individual willingness to support conservation initiatives, using Benin metropolis, Nigeria as a case study.

Findings: Using binary logit analysis, the study identified that residents who are aware of ecosystem services, had a profession and have spent at least 20 years in the city, had a significant relationship with personal willingness to volunteer time and/or donate money toward urban tree care programs and activities.

Contribution to knowledge: Provided quantitative information to demonstrate the importance of conserving trees in development projects towards Global SDGs.
Oghenekevwe Joy Arabomen, Folaranmi Dapo Babalola, Felix Oaikhena Idumah, Chinyere Salome Ofordu (Author) Copyright (c) 2021 Revista Produção e Desenvolvimento Mon, 22 Mar 2021 05:00:40 +0000 Collaborative robotics: a literature overview from the perspective of production management
Purpose: This paper aims to understand the specificities inherent to collaborative robotics from the perspective of production and operations management, as well as to identify opportunities for future research on the topic.

Methodology/Approach: A systematic literature review was carried out through Scopus and Web of Science databases. This procedure covered 84 articles published between 1997 and 2018.

Findings: The study revealed the issues most addressed in the research on Collaborative robots (Cobots), the most cited works, and the research approaches adopted.

Research Limitation/implication: The sample was extracted from only two international databases excluding publications in the form of books and articles from other databases.

Originality/Value of paper: The study reveals some specificities regarding the application and development of COBOTs, as well as their advantages and drawbacks in the scope of production management.
Juliano Endrigo Sordan, Marcio Lopes Pimenta, Pedro Carlos Oprime, Yasmine Tomasella Rodrigues, Clesio Aparecido Marinho (Author) Copyright (c) 2021 Revista Produção e Desenvolvimento Sat, 17 Apr 2021 00:00:00 +0000
