But, countries with high HDI have a better evaluated energy system. There was a worsening in Brazil in per capita emissions, energy and carbon intensity. However, this change is not related to the growth in natural gas consumption. Research Limitation/implication: The databases limited the study, due to the difference in the timeline of the World Energy Council (WEC) and International Energy Agency (IEA) and the lack of detail in the calculation of the Energy Trilemma evaluation. Originality/Value of paper: A comparative analysis that relates Brazil with similar countries, such as those in the BRICS group, contributing to energy equity, which reduces the cost of electricity without ecological damage.
Tiago Ribeiro Espíndola Soares, João José de Assis Rangel (Author) Copyright (c) 2022 Revista Produção e Desenvolvimento https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://revistas.cefet-rj.br/index.php/producaoedesenvolvimento/article/view/603 Sun, 27 Nov 2022 00:00:00 +0000 Decision approach for program risk analysis and management: a case study https://revistas.cefet-rj.br/index.php/producaoedesenvolvimento/article/view/557
Purpose: This paper aims to discuss the basis on which the program risk analysis currently sustains, identifies the fragility of some of its main pillars, and proposes an alternative to the tactic level of analysis. Methodology/Approach: This work is an exploratory a case study based on decision analysis methods, a framework is proposed to make easier the selection of the main risks that should be managed. A mechanism that is relatively more complex, but more efficient for this analysis task. Findings: The proposed mechanism has several advantages over the approach traditionally adopted and does not inherit the biases arising from this widespread methodology. Research Limitation/implication: Applying this methodology to real complete programs would bring a more realistic notion of the costs and levels of complexity required for its implementation. Originality/Value of paper: Program risk management seeks to improve the likelihood of achieving the strategic goals of organizations through the treatment of threats and opportunities. However, the traditional technique used in project risk analysis has relevant weaknesses at the program level. The proposed method can also perform the same tasks but by investing an additional effort, its effectiveness can be increased.
Bruno Rafael Dias de Lucena, Shahid Rasheed, Gledson Brito Miranda (Author) Copyright (c) 2022 Revista Produção e Desenvolvimento https://revistas.cefet-rj.br/index.php/producaoedesenvolvimento/article/view/557 Mon, 31 Jan 2022 00:00:00 +0000 Proposal for a maintenance management system based on the lean philosophy and industry 4.0 https://revistas.cefet-rj.br/index.php/producaoedesenvolvimento/article/view/587
Purpose: Develop a new model that combines the concepts of Maintenance, Lean Philosophy, and Industry 4.0 to improve maintenance management. Methodology/Approach: For the elaboration the following methodology was used: Bibliographic review of the existing models of joint application: Maintenance, Lean Philosophy, and Industry 4.0. Critical analysis of the existing models of joint application of the three concepts. Preparation of the model proposal and analysis of the results. Findings: The model developed is easy to apply, flexible and inexpensive, being a useful tool for both the maintenance and production areas, in any size and industrial area. Research Limitation/implication: One of the limitations is the distance between the devices that make up the system, as it can influence their performance. The implementation of Total Productive Maintenance can present some challenges within companies. Originality/Value of paper: The study presents a new model to improve maintenance management, being unique since the existing models are mostly focused on predictive maintenance. The system also allows the introduction of the monitoring of other important parameters such as vibrations, temperature among others.
David Samuel Fernandes Tavares Mendes, Helena Victorovna Guitiss Navas, Fernando Manuel Bigares Charrua-Santos (Author) Copyright (c) 2022 Revista Produção e Desenvolvimento https://revistas.cefet-rj.br/index.php/producaoedesenvolvimento/article/view/587 Wed, 23 Mar 2022 00:00:00 +0000 Ambiguities of industry 4.0: gains, efficiency, and worker tensions https://revistas.cefet-rj.br/index.php/producaoedesenvolvimento/article/view/595
Purpose: Increasingly, organizations are seeking technological innovations to improve their processes and production stages, configuring Industry 4.0, which, despite the evident gains, has generated tensions in the world of work.
